Holiday Timetable

March 18, 2013

As Sheffield University are now on Easter break the student sessions at 5-6.30 on Tuesdays and Fridays will not be running for the next 3 weeks. All other sessions will be running as normal, but as it is not term time you will need to pay the dojo to train. You can either pay £5 or a session, or if you’re planning on being around most of Easter you can pay £15 to come to any session over the next 3 weeks.

Also congratulations to everybody who competed at the Student Nationals in York this weekend, and proving that Sheffield are the best Aikido club around. Well done everyone, you all should be really proud of yourselves.

Happy Easter

2nd Holiday Timetable Update

January 29, 2012

It has been re-decided that the term-time timetable will now re-commence on the 6th February (as it is probably easier for everyone that the term-time timetable coincides with the actual start of term). Apologies for any confusions our constant changings might have caused.

Holiday Timetable Update

January 16, 2012

2 important points:

  • Tuesday sessions run from 6.30-8.30 and NOT from 7.00-9.00 as was previously stated in the post below. If you are a member, you will have got e-mailed the wrong information by Joe back in December
  • Normal term-time timetable will run again from Tuesday 31st January.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused by these updates, and good luck to those with exams and assignments!

Holiday Timetable

December 29, 2011

As usual there are sessions running throughout the holiday and exam period, but with certain conditions:

  • From today, there are no sessions until Tuesday 3rd January, at which point they will run like normal again
  • All session times remain the same during this period except Tuesdays which are 7-9, and Friday which does not have a 5-6.30 session.
  • For payment you will need to speak to Scott and agree prices with him and pay him directly, although if you are a student then prices are generally £5 a session or £20 for the period
  • Normal timetable will recommence at the start of the spring semester

Happy Holidays!

Edinburgh Gradings

November 30, 2011

A big congratulations to Sam, Caspar (former University of Sheffield member) and Ian (a non-student who trains at the club)  who just passed the nidan grading (2nd Dan black-belt) at the recent Edinburgh grading on the 26th November.

Passing 2nd Dan (and indeed, any Dan-grade) takes years of sustained effort and hard training and there is no such thing as an easy pass. Special mention must be given to Sam for passing with a starred performance and Caspar who put in possibly the performance of the day to pass with 2 stars. Well done guys! :D
